Autumn is here and with it came mushrooms, lots and lots of mushrooms in the forests where I go for walks at lunch. Well where I used to walk, it’s been a busy few weeks and I haven’t gotten over there in a while so it was nice to get over with my camera today. I don’t remember this many last year but maybe I wasn’t paying attention. Today I was hunting for photos for #50WithA50 so I found mushrooms everywhere. When I went out I hoped to get photos of the leaves turning but I have to post the mushroom shots, they deserve it, after all they are fun guys…. ok, sorry, I’ll leave now.
Meet Rufus, not our dog but the new puppy of my sister-in-law and her family. He’s an 11 week old australian shepherd puppy and very cute. He alternates between a ball of pure energy and naps. I figured he’d make a good subject for week 37 of my #50WithA50. Perhaps himself and my own dog will make more appearances before the end of the project.
Autumn is also arriving and the trees in the neighbourhood are starting to turn. I’m still taking photos but I’m also still behind on my posting. Editing wedding photos and the start of kindergarten has thrown my usual routine into disarray.
Hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of regular posts for #50WithA50 soon but for now I’ll post two today, one from two weeks ago and one from last week.
Very very late posting this but I did take it last week. I had a family wedding where I was the wedding photographer so I’ve been swamped both with getting ready, shooting the wedding and processing photos. I didnt use the 50mm at all during the wedding, it was in my bag but I didnt have a chance to take it out. I shot a detail afterwards of the invite and some spare boutonnieres using the 50mm so I thought I’d post it. Hopefully I’ll post another later this week and try to catch up.
We took Molly horse riding at the weekend. Just a short ride for charity but I brought my camera with the 50mm lens on it because I guessed there would be lots to take photos of. There was, though mostly I took photos of Molly, she loved riding a unicorn (ok a white horse with a pink horn strapped on but don’t ruin the fantasy). #50WithA50
I went down to Quidi Vidi this week to take some night time shots. I love Quidi Vidi but I have to say at the moment a lot of it’s quaint beauty is being destroyed by new buildings and a lot of construction. A huge amount of the old village is barricaded off and has been for a long time now. What ever they are building better be worth it and hopefully wont detract from the old world charm of the village or they will find in their rush to exploit the tourism potential of the village they paved over the tourism potential of the village. For now parts of the old village remain and here is a long exposure shot of some of the old buildings for this weeks #50WithA50
